During the Heian period (794-1185), bright saffron dyed clothing required a lot of expensive safflower to make, so lower-level officials and civilians were prohibited from wearing saffron dyed clothes. Such colors were called "forbidden colors." In contrast to the forbidden colors, the colors that ordinary people can wear are called YURUSHIIRO Xu colors. Xu color is a very light pink. As long as it is dyed with safflower that is lighter than this color, it can be worn by everyone and often appears in daily life.

This ink will change color slightly after drying.
